Dear Customer,
We want to inform you of a recently disclosed security issue affecting certain versions of cPanel & WHM. While there is currently no indication that your services have been directly impacted, we take security very seriously and are acting out of an abundance of caution.
What happened?
A vulnerability was identified in cPanel that could potentially allow unauthorized access under specific conditions. The issue has been addressed by cPanel through updated software releases.
What you need to do
We strongly recommend that all customers ensure their cPanel installations are fully up to date. Keeping your system updated is the most effective way to protect your data and services.
How to update cPanel
If you manage your own server (VPS or dedicated), please follow these steps:
1. Log in to your server via SSH as the root user
2. Run the following command:
/scripts/upcp --force
3. Wait for the update process to complete
For servers managed by us, no action is required — we are already applying the necessary updates on your behalf.
Additional recommendations
* Change your cPanel, FTP, and email passwords
* Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) if not already active
* Review account activity for anything unusual
